Yesterday we held the inaugural Super Smash Yunkers tournament at the Venice Island Performing Arts Center, and we had a GREAT time playing games with some fantastic people in the community. The vibes were high and the competitors were skilled, but in the end only three took home a trophy: Nickxmasters, PacBob, and our first champion, GScales.
Those trophies, by the way, were lovingly crafted by Sprocket Studios and we're only a little sad that we had to give them away.

Konami's 1985 title Nemesis (also known as Gradius in Japan) is a horizontally-scrolling space shooter. Players pilot the Vic Viper in its quest to protect the planet Gradius from the evil Bacterian army. The power-up system employed is notable, as it allows players to choose which elements of their ship to upgrade after collecting general-purpose enhancement pods.
